Russian agricultural producers are primarily inclined to invest in the repair and maintenance of existing equipment, rather than to order a completely new or used one. This is evidenced by the result of the analysis conducted jointly by Aurora (www.aa-p.ru) and Avito.ru. There is a clear commitment to increasing the service life of agricultural machinery: owners have begun to handle it more carefully, therefore, the need for spare parts and quality service is increasing. According to the Avito platform, in 2024, the demand for parts increased seven times compared to the previous year, and the supply increased 13 times. The top three cities with the maximum increase in demand for agricultural spare parts included settlements from regions with the most dynamic agricultural industry.
Based on the information received from Pole.Ru, it is clear that the interest of agricultural producers in spare parts for agricultural machinery has increased eightfold this year. Farmers now give priority to an economical and, more importantly, simple way to purchase goods on websites. In this way, it is immediately clear who is the manufacturer of the parts, and at the same time comprehensive assistance is provided, from the selection of the product to the delivery of the order. In addition, leasing of agricultural machinery is relevant, the demand for it is growing seven times annually, especially taking into account the support of the state.
Based on the information collected from the Avito platform, at the start of 2025, about 120000 ads for the sale of components for agricultural machinery in Russia were available on the online platform. Of this volume, more than 118,000 applications concerned the sale of brand new spare parts. Especially popular positions in Russia in 2024 were bodies, platforms, attachments, booths, as well as parts of pneumatic systems. The director of the thematic area "Spare Parts" on the Avito.ru portal emphasizes that against the background of the course for import substitution, the agricultural sector is showing active growth and is experiencing a growing need for good machinery, equipment, specialists and components.
Earlier, the messages of the Rosspetsmash Association noted a reduction in the production of tractors in the Russian Federation in 2024. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, during 2024, Russian agricultural enterprises reduced the volume of orders for basic types of agricultural machinery. It is believed that this trend will remain in direction this year.
